1. Click Causes under configuration of basic data.
2. Click Edit to edit existing ones, and click Create new to create a new one.
3. Enter a name and select whether the cause is to be selectable. If the cause is to be available for selected non-conformance types and/or categories only, uncheck the Always visible box and select the types and/or categories for which the cause is to be available. Click Save and close form when you are finished.
Tip: If Selectable is unchecked, the cause will be visible but not be selectable. This option can be used if a tree structure is to be built with causes, but only causes at sublevels should be selectable.
