Work orders can be connected using a shadow reference and a shadow buffer via the mass update function for work orders. This list view lists all jobs with a shadow reference.
Shadow references are used on recurring jobs to prevent redundancy (superfluity) of jobs. For example: On an asset, if work orders/services are created with for example 500 hours of frequency, 1000 hours of frequency and 2000 hours of frequency, these jobs will fall due at the same time. By using shadow references for these work orders, the work order with the highest frequency (500 hours) will be suppressed, provided that a new due date occurs within +/-25% (percentage of shadow buffer is set by the user) in relation to the due date in hours for the work order with a frequency of 1000 hours, etc
