The terminal, holder and the cable connection

TerminalConnection between terminal clable, dongel cable and pole holder.

The 'Dongle'

The cord from the terminal leads down the holder and inside the pole to under the desk.

The dongle has three 3 ports but only 2 is used:ÖoB only use two of them:

  1. RS232 port, marked with 'RS232'. (connection type RJ45)
  2. Power port, Power: marked with a lightning boltsymbol.
  3. RS232: THIS is the port ÖoB uses!
  4. ETH: This is NOT used by ÖoB.

RS232 and ETH is identical port types; RJ45. So The third port is marked ETH and it should NOT BE USED.
The ETH port looks IDENTICAL to the RS232 port
, they are both of connection standard RJ45, so it is a common mistake that the cable is wrongly connected to ETH instead of RS232.
If it is incorrectly in ETH, the terminal will say "waiting for ECR" connection after boot.

This is how the cables should be connected to the ports.

By dragging pulling the cables through the loop, as seen at the bottom in this picture,
the cords will be more safely secured so they don't slide out of the ports as easily.
Especially the power cord as it does not have a locking mechanism like the RJ45 contact has.
