Before dissolving a chain
- Determine whether the business being separated from the chain is the main branch
- salon or a sub
- side- branch
- salon!
- Are there shared registers, and what do they want to do with them? If registers are not shared and a sub-branch is leaving the chain, no worries
- Get written consent for changes. Especially when dealing with customer registers.
If registers are
...
shared and
...
- A new chain must be formed with a new main branch
If registers are shared and a sub-branch a side-salon is leaving the chain
...
Only relevant if salon is not deleted
- The sub-branch can be removed from the chain
- After which you can do whatever you want with it
- The sub-branch side-salon loses all gift cards and vouchers, and every reservation gets kicked out
- Gift cards cannot be shared from the main register to the sub-branch
- Giftcards are always left with the main salon, and we don't import giftcards.
- Choose from 2 options regarding the customer register:
- The side-salon retains as customers in their register
- The sub-branch retains as clients everyone who has reservations at the sub-branchthat salon
- Chain's The entire customer register is duplicated to the side-salon
- Customer register IDs are lost if customer support does it > a removal from chain (customer will show not correctly) > dev can work magic and reset the IDs or something (check with Heikki to get exact steps, and add here)
- After you've retained customer register
- Tell dev / heikki. I removed this salon (salon id) from chain. Can you update the client IDs?
If it's a side-salon and is not sharing any register
- Remove from chain
- Normal salon removal process if needed
If registers are shared and the main branch salon is leaving the chain
- IN EX HA HA LE LE (i.e. "INHALE EXHALE" — take a deep breath)
- Determine with Ask the customer which branch salon will become the new main branchsalon
- Ask a dev whether the new incoming main branchsalon's registers are empty (there may be duplicates with the main register) and tell them to delete if so. Tell dev to delete if register not empty.
- If side-salon becoming new main salon has had shared register from beginning, no need to involve dev
- Check audit log when salon was created. If connected to chain at same date, then won't have own customers with 99% certainity
- If you're unsure whether there are own customers in side-salon check with dev!
- "Hey can you check whether this "salon ID" has own customers in their customer register?"
- If side-salon becoming new main salon has had shared register from beginning, no need to involve dev
- From the old subside-branch salon (the new main branchsalon), start a group ➡️
- Other side-salons from old chain need to join new group (Join or change group) ADD PICTURE
- Old main salon The old main branch does "leave the group"
- The old main branch salon joins the new chain with "Move to main salon's register" for gift cards and vouchers. ADD PICTURE
