1. To edit basic data and settings for the equipment module, go to the Control panel and select Equipment in the middle column.


2. On this page, you can change The module settings and configure basic data can be configured in this view. Click the question mark icons next to fields that have them for more information about each field.

You can edit basic data under Configuration of basic data. Basic data includes equipment groups, brands, labels, statuses, and reference fields.

1. To edit equipment groups, click Groups.


2. To edit an existing equipment group, click Edit. To create a new group, click Create new.

3. Enter a name and select settings. You can choose whether the group should be selectable, and whether equipment belonging to the group should, by default, allow non-conformance reporting. If the group is intended to be a sub-group, you must select a parent group in the "Parent" field. If you want the form for equipment with this group to differ from other equipment forms, you can enable "Separate field configuration". Changes to the form are made by activating configuration mode and will only apply to equipment with the group you have opened. Click Save and close form when you are finished. To create additional groups, click Save and create new.

The equipment group is placed under "Fire Safety" because "Fire Safety" is set as its parent group.

Edit sub-groups

To edit equipment groups at sub-level, click the parent group in the overview on the left. The sub-groups will be displayed in the list on the right side of the page.
