Of the RS232 and ETH ports you only use one. Most of our customers use the RS232 and not ETH.
The cable connected to RS232 is connected directly to the PC:s com port 1 or 2 (sometimes called A or B). (ETH is used to connect the terminal to the local network. This use is uncommon.)
At ÖoBsome, the cable must be connected in 'RS232 (on the left in picture), NOT '''ETH!: If it is incorrectly in ETH, the terminal will e.g. to say "waiting for ECR" connection after boot.

If you follow the cord from the pay terminal, after around 20 centimeters from the terminal you find this square formed connection, which you can open by putting your fingerlail under the ledge and pressing up:
