ABC

Call “0654” with extra information

Via the destination in ABC, you can call “0654” for a specific file on the IFS.
It has become possible to send information to the call in the form of STEPPINGSTONEKEYS and STEPPINGSTONEVALUES.
This information is retrieved via enrichment (program EA0110RJ).
It can also be used in workflow for module call of EA0654RB.

ABC

Reply received may put sent document in error

New adapter that can be used when a response to a sent document is received.
Via enrichment, you can find the document that was previously sent. If the response to the sent document is incorrect, the sent ABC document can be set to error status. This means that documents with errors are easier to find.
Faulty documents may need to be resubmitted after correction of the stylesheet.

A4-33551

ABC

OCR - document stops if value is missing

By using NEEDVALUE in the field in the app. 0244, the document will automatically stop if the field is not filled in (invoice no. missing or similar).
It can also be set up on the definition. In this case use NEEDVALUES [INVOICENO].

A4-32787

ABC

Password moved to keystore

For security reasons, ABC will in future use ASPECT4’s more secure keystore for storing passwords.
Ifm. installation of Y25H2, all passwords in the ABC are automatically moved to the keystore.
Moving the password means that it is necessary to update DocManager servers to Y25H2 before restarting ABC.
As something new, the passwords can now be seen in the ABC by pressing the small eye that appears in the password fields.

New application (0365) for querying/working with attachments

The purpose of the application is to provide an overview of all attachments, also called 'Attachments', which are found in ASPECT4.
The application opens to “freely” work with attachments. Free must be seen, in contrast to working with attachments via the clip, which always shows attachments in relation to the context.
The attachments are presented in a table with all the standard options it provides.
Special search fields above the table allow you to quickly search for relevant documents you want to work with.
Via the “Filter” function in the ribbon (Alt+G), filters can be created on selected data (e.g. document categories regarding customers, contracts, etc.) and save these for later use with a descriptive name (see function description FILTER, if necessary).
Administrators can use the application to work with others’ attachments, i.e. view, delete, move and modify existing attachments.
End users can use the application to search for attachments, for example a customer, an item, an order or similar.
The application can either be called directly via the application number (0365). It can also be started with search value directly from the CTRL + spacebar image. Just press CTRL + spacebar, enter the search value (where you normally enter the application), press the down arrow and enter.
In fields with an alias attached (e.g. customer number), it will be possible (via a small icon next to the field or the shortcut Alt+A) to jump directly to the new application and immediately start a search for the content of the field in question.
See the ATTACHMENT function description for further information on use and configuration.

Tutorial
The update here contains a new tutorial that shows how to work with tutorials in general, as well as what options the end user and IT administrators get with the new Attachments application described above.
The tutorial is opened by clicking on the small tutorial icon in the upper right corner (next to the magnifying glass).

Missing scrollbar

In future, pop-up images will have a scroll bar if there are more fields than there is space to display.

A4-31347

DocManager

Embed fonts in PDF documents (section 0663)

There is a new option for embedding fonts in the PDF documents created by DocManager.
If you use the value (2) for special handling of unicode font, this could result in some very large PDF files. Even if the document does not contain Unicode characters. This can now be avoided with the value (3).
The value (3) works as (2) if the printout actually contains unicode characters, otherwise font embedding is not performed.

New command to clean up ifs folders

Previously, clean-up on the IFS performed from ASPECT4’s clean-up runs used QSHELL-based commands.
In some cases, these did not clean everything up, and in the worst case (when it came to folders with large amounts of files), the command could run out of control in relation to resource consumption.
Internally in ASPECT4, we have implemented a new cleanup command that does not cause the same problems.
If you have your own ifs folders, you can use the new command for clean-up.
Example of how to use the command: EG0672ZI PATH('/aspect4/adev/services/client-proxy') DAYS(1) FILTER('*.dmp')

Extensions for application Log Manager (0X27)

This application can be used by system administrators for troubleshooting.
The application collects log information from different sources.
The application can display information from:

·    Tomcat server

·    Portal

·    Batch server logs

·    HTTP server logs

·    Program dialogues (AS4DLGT1)

·    Error (in AKSERRT1)

·    Client and server dialogues (EXPRSPT2 and -T3)

·    Batch trigger error log (AS4TRLT1)

A4-29777

WFM

Cleaning up workflow information

In some special cases, information may be stored in the workflow container (AWFCONT1) and the history (AWFILLT1) that is not deleted in connection with clean-up operation. This can happen, for example, if the process main condition is not fulfilled or there is already a running instance.
The clean-up has now been improved so that information in the workflow container that is more than 1 month old is automatically deleted.
The amount to be deleted is controlled in the configuration. The first time the enhanced cleanup runs, it may take longer than usual if there is a lot of data to be deleted.
When the clean-up has been run the first time, it may be relevant to reorganise the tables AWFCONT1 and AWFILLT1.

Attachments:

Attachments in Next
Previously, it was not possible to select 'show' or 'save' in the right-click menu for attachments that are archived in Next. The same applies to 'Copy to clipboard'.
This error has been corrected.

A4-31602

Attachments:

Attachments:

Attachments display has been improved.
If you attach a document and choose to switch to the next attachment, it seemed as if the attachment had been made to both the original and the next attachment.
This error has been corrected.

A4-31393

Attachments:

Deleting Attachments (archived in Next)

Deleting attachments in Next has been improved.
Previously, you had to press delete twice to delete. In addition, there could be situations where it was not possible to delete own Attachments (regardless of which rights have been created on the document category).
In future, deleting attachments in Next will work in the same way as deleting attachments in ASPECT4.

A4-32177

Attachments:

Improved display of attachments to table rows
A change in the client has meant that it would have been difficult to see where the attachment would end up if it were dragged in via drag and drop on a table row.
This has been improved so that it is now clear which row is in focus when dragging an attachment into ASPECT4.

A4-31878

Attachments:

Displaying the number of attachments for table rows

In a table where there are attachments, the number of attachments on the clip is shown at the top.
Clicking on this clip displays the various attachments.
Previously, the number was then understood to be “hanging” in the way that if you scrolled on to the next/back to the previous, the number on the clip was not updated.
This error has been corrected.

A4-31476

Attachments:

Alphabetical view of document categories

If you choose to attach a voucher to a customer number, an item number or similar. displays the possible document category names to choose from in a list.
If there is a default document category, it will be the one suggested.
All available document categories can be displayed via the small arrow. In future, these will be displayed in alphabetical order (the default document category will be highlighted here).

A4-30967

Attachments:

Attachments archived in Next

If attachments are archived in Next, the authorisations set up for the selected document category are used (in the same way as if archiving in the ASPECT4 archive).
When archiving in Next, however, there is the limitation that the authorisation cannot be overridden for the individual attachment.

A4-31630

Attachments:

Attachments in Cockpits
Previously, it was not possible to visually see in cockpits that there are attachments associated with the row/field in question.
The client has been changed so that in future a clip will be displayed at the top with the number of attachments associated with the row/field.

A4-31209

Attachments:

Displaying the number of attachments

The clip at the top shows how many attachments are available for the image in question.
Previously, it was possible that the wrong number was written on the clip.
The error has been corrected so that the correct quantity is now displayed.

Shortcuts in tables

In the previous release of ASPECT4 Client, some table keyboard shortcuts had been changed.
With this release, the previous shortcuts are re-established so that you can now use the following shortcuts in tables again:

Ctrl+HOME: First column in table

Ctrl+END: Last column in table

Home: First row of table

End: Last row in table

Saving zoom level

If you choose to zoom out or zoom in using CTRL+/-, the selected zoom level was not saved for the next time.
In future, after restarting, the client will display the fields and tables in the size last selected by the user.
Zoom level is saved per screen.

A4-32409

Customer

Open pivot table in EXCEL and name pivot tables

Previously, it was only possible to open an EXCEL sheet from a Pivot the first time you clicked on the EXCEL icon.
This restriction is now removed.
It is also possible to name your Pivot tables.

A4-31563

Notes

For composite fields, notes were only displayed the 1st time. This has been changed so that notes are displayed every time this is relevant.

A4-31210

Column Rules
Under the table tab at the top of tables, you can create different rules. These column rules can be used to highlight special data. For example, amounts that deviate from the normal, days that have been exceeded, etc.
An error has meant that only new column rules were displayed. After the client was shut down, column rules were not displayed anymore.
This error has now been corrected.

A4-31015

Customer

Detach tab

If a tab was pulled out of the client, the small square icon in the upper right corner was missing. This meant that the tab could not be maximised. This error has been corrected.

A4-31572

Not possible to read content in combined fields (if the fields are very small)

In the ASPECT4 client, it is possible to zoom out or in using the Ctrl + and Ctrl - shortcut keys.
Previously, it was possible to zoom in so much that the contents of combined fields could not be read.
This has been changed so that combined fields that are not quite wide can never become so small that the content cannot be seen.

A4-31801

Customer

Scrollbars in tables
Both the vertical and horizontal scroll bars, which are shown in tables, had become very narrow in a previous update.
This has now been corrected so that the scrollbars will have the same thickness as before.

A4-31606

Potential security vulnerability around web services is closed

The vulnerability relates to so-called cross-site scripting (XSS).
To close a vulnerability, all SOAP web services will be automatically restored in connection with this release.
For REST web services where you have specified 'Allowed' in application 0MSA, you must change to 'Allowed with validation' to close the vulnerability.

A4-28112

QueryManager

Recently used queries

In QueryManager, the list of most recently used queries now works again.

A4-31700

QueryManager

Deleting queries in QueryManager

When deleting a query or when deleting a QueryManager application, the QueryManager application was not deleted correctly.
In the future, everything will be tidied up properly.
This means that if you delete a query that has an associated QueryManager application or if you choose to delete one or more associated QueryManager applications for a query, the application(s) will also be deleted in application 0128.

Upcoming change to system requirements

Please note that ASPECT4 from Y26H1, which is released in April 2026, raises the system requirement for OS level to 7.5.

Important about DocManager in relation to the password being moved to keystore

Moving the password requires that DocManager servers be updated to Y25H2 before the ABC is restarted.

A4-34275

Foundational

Mirroring and ABC

If mirroring is used on the machine, the mirroring software can lock files and prevent the ABC from processing files and errors will occur.

On receipt of files via call of 0654, the file is saved on IFS (profile: work path). We recommend moving this to/aspect4temp and creating subfolders here. The mirroring must then not reflect/aspect4temp.

Installation activities BEFORE loading

·

Console screen

A console screen ("green screen") must be used for all the installation activities mentioned here (ASPECT4 Client must not be used).

·

Receiving software

Sign in with your own user and execute 'Install ASPECT4 software' (application 0590). Performed with 'Receipt' (option 1).

Loading

·

EGSERVER or VAP subsystem

The EGSERVER subsystem must be closed. This is done with the command:

ENDSBS SBS(EGSERVER) DELAY(30) ENDSBSOPT(*NOJOBLOG).

(when loading in test, it is not necessary to close EGSERVER, but make sure that everything is shut down in the test environment. When EGSERVER has been restarted overnight, the test environment can be used again. Alternatively, everything can be restarted via appl. 0653)

·

Installation of the

When EGSERVER is stopped (checked using WRKSBS), the update must be installed. This is done in application 0590 'Install ASPECT4 software'. Select option 2 'Install.

·

Remember to sign off AFTER the update has been installed.

Installation activities AFTER loading

·

Please sign off and sign on again.

The update here contains new menu programs that need to be activated. The user who is logged in performs an extra sign off and sign on before other users access the environment.

If the new menu programs are not activated, it may take a long time to log on.

·

Conversion runs

Sign in again with your own user.

Select application 0690 'Conversion runs'. Select system 400. Start the conversion with F16.

It is important that the conversion takes place in the environment to be updated.

·

Start EGSERVER (or VAP)

The EGSERVER subsystem must be started. The command STRSBS SBSD(EGSERVER) is used on a command line. With EGSERVER, all the servers mentioned in application 0653 are started automatically.

(If other updates are to be installed that require that EGSERVER must not be started, wait with this point until later).

·

DocManager must be restarted on the machines where it is already installed. (This can only be done when EGSERVER (or the VAP) has been started)

·

Citrix/Terminal Servers

If the ASPECT4 client is installed on a Citrix/terminal server, this must be updated via an import command.

On EG’s deployment page (e.g. http://SERVER:1045/client/ ) there are 3 large buttons. Under 'read more ' you will find instructions on how to update the cash. Remember that when the import command is executed, the server name etc. must be exactly as in the jnlp file.

In application 0361 'System level', you can use F16 'Client Information' to display the path from which the client can be imported (and thus also how to access EG’s deployment page).

·

Robots

Note - When updating, there is no guarantee that applications used in the company’s robots are unchanged. Robots that access modified applications can fail - and must therefore be recorded from the beginning. It is also a general condition for Robotics products that it is important to test used/critical robots after software updates.
