A product can consist of a number of components, such as the Wholemeal bread product, which consists of several ingredients. Components are registered as products and added to a product as components. The Components tab lists all components that make up the product and that have been added to the product.
Categories can be used in the product register to distinguish and sort the various product categories. The components have category Ingredients and Wholemeal bread has category Products. The ingredients make up the sales product Wholemeal bread.
Instructions
1. Create the components by registering a new product.
Tip: If you are registering quantities of products, it is possible to Import data in the control panel.
2. Go to the Components tab and click Add new component.
3. Select a product to be added as a component, enter the quantity, then click Save and close form.
4. The value of the components as a percentage is calculated on the basis of the quantity entered in the previous step.
