Department is created with a descriptive number and name. Department can be e.g. linked into the object structure and to employees. If department is linked to an asset, all the subordinate assets will inherit this department, provided that they are not linked to a department. When withdrawing parts against a work order, the withdrawal transaction will automatically also charge this department. See also ‘CostCarriers [Asset-> WO]’ under ‘Admin’ → 'System settings’.
