In practice, items are defined as equipment that is moved around in the factory, e.g. engines, pumps, rollers, etc. which need to be monitored. The asset card will act as the “location” of where the item has been placed. Example: An engine is being moved around in the company. Each engine bed is defined as an asset (location).
In the system parameters, you must enable the use of item management of an asset before you can start using items.
You can set up a prefix in advance to allow automatic numbering of item numbers via the 'System' -> 'Assets' menu. The items are created, and connected to and from the asset structure from each item’s list view.
List view of items with various sort, filter and search options, as well as the option to export to Excel. The view shows all the items connected/disconnected. Items can be created, edited, deleted, connected to assets and removed (disconnected) from assets via this list.
Search field for free text: Includes item number/name, serial number, article number/name, etc.
Asset search field: Search for asset number and asset name. Shows items connected to selected asset/structure. Search Selected Tree Only: Only generates hits for assets in selected tree.

Items can be connected to assets using this button.

Remove item from asset with this button. Alternatively also from the asset card (in edit mode).
Alternatively, new items can also be created directly from the asset card (in view mode) via a separate plus button.
