OCR - new features in application 0245
Send email: A received document can now be forwarded by email from application 0245.  In addition, replies can now also be sent back to the sender of the email.
Stop document: Processing of a document can now be interrupted if it has not been received in the expected company. Via search lists, this can be validated.
Consolidate documents: It is possible to merge multiple documents into one document if they are received from the same email.
Scan only x number of pages: It is now possible to configure a maximum number of pages for a document. If more pages are received than the configured maximum, processing of the document will be stopped. Then you can manually specify how many pages you want processed.
Detail lines: It is not always that the AI OCR engine can determine how detail lines are connected. Especially if a retail line consists of several lines. Therefore, you can now configure the method by which detail lines are to be identified, It can be chosen between text search, AI and table search.

DocManager

Reducing PDF File Size
Improved handling of annexfiles. This includes a significant reduction in the file size of the pdf files that DocManager generates when using attachments for printouts.

A4-29858

DocManager

New calculation function
DocManager's collection of functions for use in condition expressions and calculations has been expanded with the SETEMAILFILENAME function, which allows you to override the file name when sending e-mails. Using the feature overrides both the default file name, as well as settings from the General Registers section 0660.

Cleanup via application 0529
It is now possible to clean up the table AKSLCKT1 ('Table with technical locks'). The table is used for storing information of a technical nature to manage synchronization. Via a new application parameter for the clean-up run (application 0529), it can be set up how many days this lock information is to be stored.

WFM

Stepping stone links to the workflow task list
With this new feature, it now becomes extremely efficient to find running workflow processes that are related to a given context. As with other stepping stone links, values (stepping stone keys) for the context you are in are transferred to a search of related processes in the workflow task list.
This is now possible with a new type of system links (application 0W10) that can launch the workflow task list. Cf. the setup on the system link, tasks are shown for a specific process definition and instances, cf. the aliases shown in the image compared to parameter values on the instances. See more in the function description AWF_OPGBHS.

WFM

Viewing the event log
For displaying the event log (application 0W42), a new program has been created. The application displays the same information as before. However, searching either via the search box at the top of the image, or via filtering on columns is now significantly faster.

Installation Activities BEFORE Loading

  •

Console screen
A console screen ('green screen') must be used for all of the installation activities mentioned here (ASPECT4 Client may not be used).

  •

Receiving Software
Sign in with your own user and perform 'Install ASPECT4 software' (application 0590). Performed with 'Receiving' (option 1).

Loading

  •

EGSERVER or VAP subsystem
The EGSERVER subsystem must be closed. This is done with the command:
ENDSBS SBS(EGSERVER) DELAY(30) ENDSBSOPT(*NOJOBLOG).
(when loading into test, it is not necessary to close EGSERVER, but make sure that everything is shut down in the test environment. Once EGSERVER has been restarted during the night, the test environment will be able to be used again. Alternatively, everything can be restarted again via appl. 0653)

  •

Installation
When EGSERVER has stopped (checked using WRKSBS), the update must be installed. This is done in application 0590 'Install ASPECT4 software'. Select option 2 'Install.'

  •

Remember to sign-off AFTER the update is installed.

Installation Activities AFTER Loading

  •

Sign off and sign on again.
This update includes new menu applications that need to be enabled. The user who is logged in makes an extra sign off and sign on before other users join the environment.
If the new menu programs are not activated, it may take a long time to sign on.

  •

Conversion Runs
Sign in again with your own user.
Select application 0690 'Conversion Runs'. Select system 400. Initiate the conversion with F16.
It's important that the conversion happens in the environment that needs to be updated.

  •

Start EGSERVER (or VAP)
The EGSERVER subsystem needs to be started. On a command line, use the command STRSBS SBSD(EGSERVER). With EGSERVER, all the servers mentioned in application 0653 are automatically started.
(If other updates are to be installed that require EGSERVER not to be started, then wait with this point for later).

  •

DocManager must be restarted on the machines where it is already installed. (This can only be done once the EGSERVER (or VAP) has started)

  •

Citrix/Terminal Servers
If ASPECT4 client is installed on a Citrix/terminal server, this must be updated via an import command.
On EG's deployment page (e.g. http://SERVER:1045/client/) 3 buttons 'read more' there is a guide on how to update the cash. Remember that when the import command is executed, the server name etc. must be exactly as in the jnlp file.
In application 0361 'System level', you can via F16 'Client Information' see which path the client can be imported from (and thus also how to access EG's deployment page).

  •

Robots
Note - When updating, there is no guarantee that applications used in the company's robots are unchanged. Robots that access changed applications can fail – and therefore have to be re-recorded. It is also a general condition for Robotics' products that after software update it is important to test used/critical robots.
