Highlights

• Salons can now require prepayment for individual services. Prepayment could previously only be forced for a whole client; it can now be set on just the services where no-shows hurt, and it applies in the new online booking and on the Marketplace as well as in Pro. The salon needs Timma Pay prepayment switched on. TIM-798, TIM-799, TIM-800

• Client blocking is switched on for every salon. Blocking stops a client booking online, and from this week it also keeps them out of every marketing email and SMS the salon sends from Pro. The setting only appears for salons on the new online booking, because older versions cannot enforce it. TIM-1285, TIM-1389

• Tap to Pay has started a closed beta in Norway. Norwegian salons can take card payments on the phone itself, which until this week was Finland only. The beta is closed — we add salons to it, so a salon cannot switch it on for itself. TIM-1419

Changes your customers will notice

These affect features salons are already using, so the difference is visible from this week.

• Bills in Timma Invoices now carry a copy-and-paste virtual barcode, so a customer can pay one straight from their bank without typing the reference in by hand. TIM-1360

• A booking paid by invoice showed as "paid" on the client's page the moment the invoice was created, and offered a receipt rather than the invoice. Fixed — it now says the invoice is open until the invoice is actually paid. TIM-1417

• Gift cards created in the old gift card shop printed XXXXX on the PDF instead of the code. Fixed. TIM-1437

• Finnish gift cards now read "Voimassa … asti", the correct way to say the card is valid up to that date. TIM-1383

• On the Marketplace, the gift card field now says plainly that only a Timma gift card or campaign code works there, and it is hidden altogether in Denmark, Estonia and Latvia, where Timma gift cards are not sold. TIM-1415, TIM-1401

• The Marketplace gained partial highlights, polynucleotides, wrinkle treatment and hair spa, plus lymphatic drainage in Estonia and Latvia and permanent eyebrow pigmentation in Denmark. TIM-1434

• Reviews left without a name stopped Google from showing star ratings on salon pages. Fixed. TIM-1357

• Importing clients into Pro merged duplicate rows without saying so, which made it look as though rows had gone missing, and it repeated the same details on the rows it merged. Both fixed. TIM-1427

• Large client imports were slow enough to be painful; finding duplicates in them is now much faster. TIM-1433

• Once a salon links Kletta, it now appears above the other reports on the Reports page, the way Tripletex and Fiken already did. TIM-1390

• If accounting settings failed to reload after connecting or disconnecting an integration, the whole accounting section vanished for Kletta, or quietly showed stale details for Tripletex and Fiken. Now only the affected card shows an error. TIM-1426

• The automatic clean-up of stale clients could remove clients who had been updated fairly recently. It now leaves those alone. TIM-1409

• The Finnish hairdresser page on the marketing site had awkward wording in its title and intro, and now reads properly. TIM-1424
