  • The new gift card shop is now on by default. New salons get it, and so do existing salons that were not using a gift card shop yet, in Finland, Norway, Estonia, Latvia, Spain, Sweden and Denmark. These salons see only the new shop in Timma Pro. TIM-1407, TIM-1557

  • Tap to Pay on iPhone is now generally available in Norway. It was in beta there first. TIM-1525, TIM-1551

  • Salons can no longer go back to the previous version of online booking. There has been no serious feedback about the new version for a while. TIM-1482

Changes your customers will notice

These affect features salons are already using, so the difference is visible from this week.

Timma Pro

  • Users of a chain's other salons were logged out when they opened the Company page after the main salon was deleted. Fixed. TIM-1564

  • The calendar zoom level is now saved to the user's account instead of the device, so it no longer resets on a new device or browser. TIM-1090

  • Marking an internal invoice as paid or void now asks for confirmation first. TIM-1549

  • The card-payment security (PCI) banner now shows for the rest of Finland and part of Norway. TIM-1512

  • The "Setting up Marketplace" link now points to the right help article. TIM-1535

  • The Benefits tab now lists the new Kletta, BookBeat and FeelHobby benefits. TIM-1511, TIM-1518

  • The product import can now mark products as "for use" or "for sale", so reports separate them. TIM-1149, TIM-1489

  • New services (partial highlights, polynucleotides, wrinkle treatment and hair spa) can now be picked from the service list. TIM-1506, TIM-1507, TIM-1508

  • The pay-by-link SMS option now states that the SMS costs money, with the country-specific price. TIM-1515

  • The gift card preview in online booking now appears faster. TIM-1451

Billing

  • The SMS breakdown now shows the number of messages sent, not only the number of SMS parts. TIM-1560

  • Invalid or blocked payment cards are no longer charged repeatedly. The card is removed and the unpaid bill is left for debt collection. Cards with insufficient balance are not removed. TIM-1472

Online booking, marketplace and email

  • A badly formatted phone number caused a confusing error and no booking. Fixed. TIM-1275, TIM-1534

  • Service category names are now shown in full when there is room. TIM-1430

  • Online booking no longer flickers while fonts load. TIM-1524

  • The professional list in the marketplace appeared in a random order. Fixed. TIM-1510

  • The marketplace booking confirmation page now has an "Add to calendar" button. TIM-1483

  • The button in the waitlist confirmation email was too large and had no spacing before the link below it. Fixed. TIM-1528

  • The printed gift card delivery text in the marketplace now says delivery takes 1–3 working days, in all languages. TIM-1519

  • Danish salons now see updated gift card refund policy texts. TIM-1517

Nothing here changes anything for a salon this week. It is either groundwork on a feature that has not launched, or internal work.

  • Rescheduling an online booking — the backend endpoint and the online booking screens were built. TIM-1353, TIM-1364

  • Booking cancelled emails — new designs for the "booking cancelled" and "booking cancelled by client" emails. TIM-1307, TIM-1308
