1. To edit a box, hover the mouse over the box until you see . Move the mouse over the icon and click Edit box.
2. There are various options for the box.
Text
Fill in the content in the text field. Click the down arrow to edit the design of the text.
Tip: To edit the appearance of the header, use [[Caption]] and edit it the same way as the text. The subprocess in the box will be displayed as a link when you use [[Caption]].
Description
You can enter a description at the bottom of the box. The field can be used to add a detailed description of the activity.
To view the description in the flowchart, move the mouse over the box and hover it over Description.
Layout
Select the position of the text in the 'Text flow' fields. You can also choose whether there should be arrows on the lines between the boxes, and whether the box should have a header. Selecting an image allows you to add an image as a background in the box.
External content and subprocesses
View separate pages for guidance to create a subprocess and linking external content.
Designing a box
The icons can be found at the top of the window. These options are used to design the box.
Background colour
Click to edit the background colour for the box. Drag the circles in the colour palette to define the colour. The colour code is located in the field under the colour palette. When you have selected the colour, click Save.
Tip: If you want the same colour code for several boxes, you can copy the colour code and paste it into the field when editing other boxes.
Line alternatives and colour
To define the colour, thickness and style of the frame for the box, click Drag the circles in the colour palette to define a colour and select style and thickness for the box. Click Save when you are finished.
.Lines
To change the colour, thickness and style of the lines from the box, click Drag the circles in the colour palette to define a colour and select style and thickness for the lines. Click Save when you are finished.
.Shape
You can change the shape of the box by clicking
. Change the shape by clicking the shape that you want to use.Tip: Hovering the mouse over the box and to the
icon takes you to a shortcut where you can edit the box's background colour, shape, lines and frame.
