New checklists are automatically available in all modules. If you want to limit availability for restrict availability so it is only available in specific modules, click click Available for selected modules.

Having When a module has a separate field for on the checklist for a selected module allows you to link a checklist responseto a record without going via the module. The field retrieves records from the selected modules.
