What are building blocks

Building blocks are space information that you can add to your floor plans to enrich your occupancy or booking data. Building blocks are mainly used for buildings that have separate blocks such as A, B and C blocks.

Building blocks are managed in EG Optimaze Moment application.

How to add building blocks to a building

Building blocks are building specific and you need to add building blocks to each building individually

You must have Space management role in Optimaze Portal

.

  1. Log in to EG Optimaze
Portal
First, go
  1. Navigate to Optimaze
Moment to create the building block names

  • Select ‘Management’ and ‘Object management’ in the left hand panel

  • Open the in the 'Select hierarchy' drop down menu and select ‘Real Estate hierarchy’ 

    1. Moment application
    2. Click Management and Object management
    3. Select Real estate hierarchy from the drop-down list
    4. Select from the hierarchy a
    Select the chosen corporate group and
    1. building where you want to add the building blocks
    in the hierarchyTo add building blocks, click ‘
    2. Click + Add Building block
    ’
    1. at the bottom
    and add appropriate code, name and other details

  • Press ‘Save’ to finish

    2. Add name
    3. Click Save
    4. If you want to add multiple building blocks for a same building, go back to the building and click Add building block again

    1. Last, go to Optimaze Space to add the building blocks to your floor plan

    2. Click ‘Edit’ in the toolbar, select ‘Space data’ and choose ‘Building block'

    3. Select the correct areas from the floor plan

    4. Select the building block name (edited in Moment) accordingly

    5. Press ‘Save’ to finish
