We have implemented support for unknown POSLog versions when fetching receipts on hold. This means a receipt can be put on hold on a cash register / POS API that are on the latest POSLog version, and the receipt can be fetched on cash registers with a lower POSLog version. The receipt will be transformed to the correct poslog POSLog version by POS Services.
