The use of checklists provides a unique opportunity to organise all of the company’s preventive maintenance routines and controls in a way that is easier to follow than using the job register. Preventive maintenance routines mean all tasks of a routine nature such as:
Lubrication routines such as lubrication and oil changes
Control routines such as visual inspections and condition inspections
Measuring points that must be read regularly
Calibration of instruments, etc.
To make it easier to get started with checklists, it may be helpful to build up/define checkpoints and checkpoint information in Excel using the default import template. This helps to ensure that checkpoints have a uniform structure, and will save you time. When everything has been defined/set up in the Excel template, this can be imported via the import Studio.
