Case Description

  • A user has, for example, moved from Salon A to Salon B.
  • The user deactivated their account connected to Salon A.
  • They are now using the same email address for their account in Salon B.
  • The user needs to access old reports from Account A.
  • However, Account A cannot be reactivated because the email address is already in use on Account B.

⚠️ If the email address on either account is verified, it cannot be changed via Hallinta.

What to Do

Step 1 – Separate the Email Addresses

  • Ask the user to change the email address on Account B.
  • If the email is verified, they must:
  • Use a new email address they have access to
  • Verify the new email address
  • Once the two accounts no longer share the same email address, you can proceed.

Step 2 – Reactivate Account A

  • Reactivate Account A via Hallinta.
  • Inform the user they can now log in and download the reports or other necessary information.

Step 3 – Clean Up

  • After the user has retrieved the necessary data:
  • Deactivate Account A again via Hallinta.
  • Guide the user to change the email on Account B back to their preferred login email address.
  • If needed, guide them through re-verifying the email.
