Do you have meters in Mestro Portal that are no longer in use? This article explains how to handle inactive meters.
Archiving – the recommended option
Instead of deleting a meter entirely, we recommend archiving it. Archiving hides the meter from your active view while preserving all historical data. You can always reactivate an archived meter if you need it again.
Archiving is managed via relation time – read more about how to do this in the article Manage the life of your meters and properties in the portal.
Permanent deletion
If you are certain you want to permanently delete a meter – so that it no longer appears in the portal and all associated data is removed – you need to contact Mestro support. We will help you remove the meter completely from the system.
Please have the following ready when you contact us:
- The meter's Node ID in Mestro Portal
- Confirmation that you want the meter permanently deleted (data cannot be recovered)
Missing automatic readings on a meter?
If a meter that previously received data automatically has stopped updating, this is likely due to a stoppage in data collection rather than the meter needing to be deleted. Read more about how Mestro handles this in the article Monitoring of Automatic Data Collection (Mestro Collect).
