Activity groups act as collective records for the various maintenance activities that are performed in the company. The advantage of registering activity groups against job/history lies in the option of being able to generate reports using these groups as a filter.
New activity groups must be inserted with a number (prefix) and a name. Type is used to connect the activity group against predefined default values that can be used in future reports.
The groups can be freely defined, but you are recommended to be restrictive in creating more than those suggested here. This allows for better control and management of the various maintenance measures.
There is also an option to link ‘Account’ (cost carrier) to an activity group. Note: This account will override the account located on the asset if the system settings have been set up to retrieve the account from the asset onto the work order.
