Installation steps: Connected AirWits

For the installation you need:

  • EG Inventory app app in your mobile phone

  • User rights and Space management role in EG Optimaze
  • Sensor devices
  • Tools for the installation e.g. Ladder, drill, screws/double-sided tape

  1. Switch the device on sliding the power switch to position “1”
  2. Scan the QR code or enter the sensor ID manually with EG Inventory app
  3. Install the wall plate to the wall using screws or double-sided tape suitable for the wall material. Please note the orientation.
    1. Avoid placing device closer than 15cm on any metal or magnetic object, electric cables, electric devices or selective glass as this will dramatically reduce radio performance as well as battery life of the device.
  4. Attach the device to the wall having the pins meeting installation holes in the device. Please note the orientation!

Installation tips

  • Place the device in a central location to approx. 1.2m – 1.8m height

  • Avoid placing the sensor to close proximity of windows

  • Most of CO₂ indoors is produced by breathing, the device should not be placed too close to humans

  • Air conditioning, height & volume of the space affect the sensor device
