To avoid booked resources standing empty, you can turn on a reminder email that alerts the user when the resource they have booked remains unoccupied. The user can then cancel the booking if they no longer need it. 

This feature requires an occupancy sensor installed for each bookable capacity object and is only available in select Worksense packages. You must have an Administrator role in EG Worksense and access to EG Optimaze Space.

Turn on booking started reminders 

To turn on booking reminders,

  1. Go to EG Worksense web app
  2. click Administration
  3. click Bookings
  4. toggle on Enable booking started reminders
  5. click Save 

If you don’t see the setting, booking started reminders are not included in your package. 

Define the monitored capacity objects and time limits 

The reminder time limit is set in the EG Optimaze Space application for each capacity object that should be monitored 

  1. Go to EG Optimaze Space
  2. Navigate to the floor plan where the resources are located
  3. Click Edit and Capacity objects… 
  4. Select one or more bookable capacity object on the floor plan 
  5. Check Booking started reminder in the Edit capacity objects panel 
  6. Enter the number of minutes the capacity object can remain unoccupied after the meeting start time before a reminder will be sent 
  7. Click Update capacity objects
