Space categories that are available in the software and define the purpose of use for a space, have been listed under space classification. You can specify a purpose of use for each space, so that it is possible to report information on spaces according to their purposes.
In space classification, you can define space category properties, such as cost indices or how locating a person in a space affects reported user data.
By default, the index for each space category in Optimaze is 1. Optimaze can also use customers’ own space category indices.
Specifications set for each space category for placing a person in a space
In space classification, you can determine whether it is allowed to place persons in a particular space of that space category. If you want to prevent placing people in storage facilities, for example, you can select the option Employees not allowed for that space category.
You can also specify for each space category, if the user information used for finance processing changes according to the person placed in the space. By default, the cost center data for the user of the space is determined according to the person in Optimaze. In this case, the check box Organization changes with employee is ticked (), as in the figure above. If you want to keep track of the placement of people in spaces but you do not want it to affect cost allocation, you can determine that the organization will not change with the employee by unticking the check box.
