It is possible to use buttons on the dashboard that link to a module, URL, submenu or records filtered in a data filter.

1. Click Navigation and Add gadget to add a menu gadget.

Tip: It is also possible to search for gadgets to make it easier to find a gadget.

2. Configure the gadget and click Create new button.

3. Select where the button is to link to.

To create a button that links to a module, select the module in the Module field. If the button is to be named anything other than the name of the module, type the name in the Name field.

It is possible to link to an external URL or an address in Landax.

For example, you can create a button that points directly to Register new non-conformance.

a) Open the non-conformance module in Landax, click Register new non-conformance and copy the link.

Tip: Copy the link after .landax.no.

b) Paste the link into the Web Address field and enter the name of the button in the Name field.

By using data filters, a button is created for each record that the data filter filters on. For example, a filter has been created that shows all the locations that are linked to the location type "warehouse". This creates a button to the form of each warehouse that is listed in the system.

Create the data filter in the control panel, select the Data filter, and enter a name for the button if you wish. The name of the location is the name in the button, and the location symbol indicates that the buttons link to records in the location module.

Submenu can be used to create sub-level buttons.

a) Select Submenu, enter a name and click Save.

b) To create buttons for a sub-level, click Create new button on the right under Sub menu.

The path for the levels is shown above the buttons. Click Start to return to the top level.
