You must have a Space management role in EG Optimaze to manage capacity object types. |
Capacity object types are managed in EG Optimaze Space application. Capacity object types represent company's resources that are displayed and monitored via EG Worksense. Capacity objects have main and subtypes. Some of the features in EG Worksense require making changes in capacity object types.
Reporting type determines how are the resources displayed in EG Worksense. There are five different reporting types: workstation, meeting space, restaurant, parking space, phone booth.
You can add reporting type only for main capacity object types, not subtypes.
Select a reporting type from the drop-down list
Select Meeting space as a reporting type, if you are using meeting room booking feature
Select Restaurant as a reporting type if you are using restaurant sensors
Time delay means the duration how long a sensor-monitored place (e.g. meeting room, workstation, parking spot) is shown as recently occupied in EG Worksense. Generally speaking the time delay gives a signal to an employee that the room or seat has recently been in use.
Time delay is set for a capacity object main type or its subtype.
Time delay for a capacity object main type will automatically be applied to its subtypes
Workstations - We recommend to set up a time delay based on your company’s clean desk policy OR at least for the duration of lunch / a one-hour meeting
Meeting rooms - We recommend to set up a 5-10 minute time delay for meeting rooms to signal it has been recently used
Phone booths - Phone booths don’t necessarily need a time delay, they are generally meant for quick ad hoc use
If you want to edit the usable capacity of a capacity object, you need to enable usable capacity for a capacity object type. This is necessary if you want to make capacity objects out of use.
