You must have an Administrator role in EG Worksense to set up internal bookings.

Worksense supports managing booking information internally for workstations, meeting, spaces, phone booths, and parking spaces. Internal bookings are managed by Worksense and do not require integration with an external booking system.

Once internal bookings are enabled (see section Setup below for details), all users can book any of your resources using the Worksense mobile and web applications.

It is also possible to integrate meeting room bookings with an external system. For more information, see Set up external bookings.

Setup

  1. Log in to EG Worksense
  2. Click Administration
    • If the option is not visible, contact your EG Worksense administrator or worksense.support@eg.fi to find out who in your organization to contact
  3. Click Bookings
  4. Switch on Enable internal bookings
  5. Now you can turn on more features:
    • Enable booking for a visitor which allows users to book a resource on behalf of their visitor
    • Enable booking for a colleague which allows users to book a resource on behalf of their colleague
    • Enable private booking which allows users to hide their identity for individual bookings
  6. Click Save
  7. Test that you can create internal bookings with the mobile application


Make sure that the capacity objects that you want to be bookable have the correct reporting type defined in the EG Optimaze Space. Check instructions for how to edit reporting type here.
