You must have Space management role in EG Optimaze to manage space data in floor plans. 

What is space data

Space data includes floor and building related information such as room names, space labels, organization, building blocks that you can add to your floor plans. This data enriches your IoT device and/or booking data.

Adding organizations

Before adding organizations to a floor plan, you must create an organization hierarchy in EG Optimaze Moment application. Check instructions here.

  1. Log in to EG Optimaze
  2. Navigate to EG Optimaze Space application
  3. Select a floor plan
  4. Click Edit and select Space data…
  5. Select Organization level 6 from the drop-down menu
    1. Change begin date if needed
    2. Select organization from the drop down menu
    3. if the space is used by many organizations, select multi-user space
  6. Select one or multiple spaces from the floor plan, where you would like to assign the organization to and click Save

Adding room names

  1. Log in to EG Optimaze
  2. Navigate to EG Optimaze Space application
  3. Select a floor plan
  4. Always first, click Labels and select Space names
    1. All existing space names will be displayed on the floor plan
  5. Next click Edit and select Space data…
  6. Select ‘Space name’ from the drop-down list
  7. Select a space from the floor plan that you want to name
  8. Write a name and click Save
    1. Notice. When you select a space it will not show the current name in the ‘Space name’ field. So you can easily overwrite a name. Always have the Space name label selected on Labels.

Adding building blocks

Before adding building blocks to a floor plan, you must add building blocks to the building in EG Optimaze Moment application. Check instructions here.

  1. Log in to EG Optimaze
  2. Navigate to EG Optimaze Space application
  3. Select a floor plan
  4. Click Edit and select Space data…
  5. Select Building block
  6. Select one or multiple spaces on the floor plan
  7. Click Save

Adding space labels

Space labels are added by our drawing team to the floor plans based on dwg files once they process your floor plan order. However sometimes it is necessary to add or change space labels manually.

  1. Log in to EG Optimaze
  2. Navigate to EG Optimaze Space application
  3. Select a floor plan
  4. Always first, click Labels and select Space labels
    1. All existing space labels will be displayed on the floor plan
  5. Next click Edit and select Space data…
  6. Select Space label
  7. Select one space from the floor plan that you want to give a space label
  8. Write a space label and click Save
    1. Notice. When you select a space it will not show the current name in the Space label field, so you can easily overwrite a space label. Always have the Space label selected on Labels.
